my mom yelled at me and said im addicted to this MB, and that im being a hermit and i should get out more etc etc. but we just moved here... im only here for the summer. i dont know anyone.. what am i supposed to do? just walk around and try to talk to people? i am socializing here. it my not be in person... but im socializing dammit all |

Being hellaciously lone wolf-ish, I think I prefer to socialize on the net rather than in real life. Hmm. Some would say that's not good, but doesn't matter to me, not now anyway. This board doesn't take anything away from my social life, because I don't have much of one to begin with! Party on! |

well yes... but i mean its NYC... its a huge fast pace bustlin city... how am i supposed to just go out and meet people, and expect them to just stop and get to know me? ill be 19 in 2 weeks... but thats still not old enough to get into clubs... which is the best way to meet people |

Its also far easier here to A)cause offense, B)realise that you've caused offence, C)apologise or D)stand your ground without any major drama. In "real" life people are less open, troubling to decipher, and potentially explosive in a far scarier way. but the grey rings round the eyes are a bummer |
