Just like there's abnoxious political ways aplenty to get what you want (ex. making paying taxes SO complex that nobody can possibly comprehend them so they can make you pay stuff without you knowing what the hell is happening)... there's annoying ways I'm sure to force bastards to buy your music rather than downloading it for free. Like say a brilliant artist like autechre got fed up with this crap, they could put up a website and make people pay them directly (so they get 100%of the profit, a label gets none) and they could make all their tracks listed under different aliases with hard to remember names like j19344... so nobody would remember what to look for when downloading them for free. Basically the concept is to make downloading them for free a bigger pain in the ass than just buying them (you have to smack consumers on the head to make them pay attention). The only problem is that when one person buys it they could just upload the tracks to soulseek as autechre 1,2,3,4,5,6 etc. There must be a bette way...
