do you:
a)like them
b)hate them\not like them
c)not heard em

for all the above please say why\whynot. i saw their album
for $11 and was wondering if it was worth it. I read some
reviews and downloaded some mp3s and dont know what I think
of em. but the cd sounds like you need to hear the full
thing to get the full effect.

last time i was debating whether to get selected ambient
works 85-92 for 13.99, chiastic slide for $11.99 or
avalanches for $10.99, I chose chiastic slide and its great.

the songs i downloaded sounded a little too "jolly" to me.
I mean i'll have to give some more tracks a listen before I
buy it.

cheaper than american version, which is 16.99. theyre
identical right? its the england import.

Hmm, only heard one song, and I enjoyed. Some lyrics with
the word 'world.'

ahhh, it's on the tip of my tongue, but I can't remember the
name, oh well.

i dig them but i'd have to hear the rest of the album before
deciding to buy it. it reminds me of dust brothers meets kid
koala..

novelty music.

a) i like em!
there not perfect, theyve not their share of crap songs, but
there still pretty original and fresh, even if they are
sample crazy (the album contains over 900 samples)
....frontier psychaitrist is great, but its not a typical
avalanches song, if thats all youve heard i suggest u liten
to something else too

a)

they are brilliant cutup artists, really catchy funky cool
music, well worth the money. One of the only cd's I can
listen to all the way through and not tire of a single part.

I like them a lot!!!
Saw them live last year and they rock!!!

It was one of the best concerts I've ever seen.
If you have the chance to see them: GO!!

apparantly avalanches live are completely different to what
they release as records..its like 2 differend bands, you
have to hear them both....but since ive never seen them live
i might be wrong

To me they sound way too busy. Too many samples. I only dug
Frontier Psychiatrist and the video was class.

I like them. Quite a good "nostalgic" feel to a lot of their
tracks. A bit like BoC (although not musically).
