the only song I have ever cried to is Alberto Balsam, I don't know why, just when I heard it I felt like I saw a person who lived the saddest life ever and that song was his/her story... and I just cried.. Also it was at a very emotional time in my life that I first heard that song and it really broke me down.. It's in my opinion one of the saddest Aphex Twin songs...

I don't I've ever cried to a song, but I get emotional to some of them.
Rhubarb Vletmrx21 Alberto Balsalm Roygbiv
And some Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young seems to have a serious sadness effect on me.
And Julia by the Beatles. That Lennon was a pretty good musician! *understatement

Aphex Twin - Cliffs
I was at the visitation to my grampa's funeral. We were really close when I was young....
Anyway, I went outside during the visitation, and got my discman. The sun was setting in the horizon, so I put on SAWII, and cCliffs was playing as the sun set. I sat there, looking off into the sunset as cliffs played and the tears flowed. And I realized, at this point, that my childhood had ended, but it wasnt;' a bad thing.... I taste my tears, and I musst move on, and live this strange life, whatever it brings
I miss you gramps, but you'll always be with me, in my mind and in my soul.....

Alberto Balsalm struck me as a very emotional song the first time I heard it. I rented ICBYD out from a library, it was the first Afx I heard, and I thought the whole album sounded like shit apart from AB, which sounded beatiful. Ah, Alberto, you are so beautiful... to me.

Peter Gabriel songs are always sad and melencholic (well, most times)... I can't remember a time though where I actually cried listening to a song...

squarepusher's 'my sound' usually makes me well up when i listen to it in the right mood...its really the only song that can almost always do that to me..
gybe's 'matta' (i think...first track on slow riot) is another one...i remember listening to that in my room the day after the world trade center fell...and thats about when everything really hit me...
a few of radiohead's songs...motion picture soundtrack, how to disappear completely, street spirit..
isan's 'dilly'
aphex's pancake lizard, iz us, and i got a bit choked up by rhubarb a little while ago..
brian eno - always returning
theres prolly tons more...as i tend to be one of those people who listens to melancholic music when depressed...it usually makes me feel better for some reason

zetre: yeah, I think that is true most of the time, but some songs are so incredibly beautiful or sad that they defy human logic, and that can make one cry too, IMO.
And I think Bitter Sweet Symphony is also a very beautiful and sad song.
Yeah, and by cry I didnt really mean sobbing out loud, but I have had tears run down my cheeks ( to alberto balsam) and welled up to several other songs.

These are some songs I start to choke on (as in feeling sad / crying choked):
-Brian Eno = An Ending (the acent). It always calms things down to a level of motionlessness. Its a sad song. It once came on as some kids outside where playing across the street...that was neat to watch with the song.
-Agaetis Byrjun = Sigur Ros. While it doesn't bring to tears to my eyes its sad as well.
-Viorar Vel Til Loftarasa = I once heard this song like a year or two ago on the radio and when I heard it I was 101% captivated by the song. I was like wow through the whole thing. Then earlier this year I bought their album, Agaetis, and found that song on it! I pretty much burst when it came on...and when those guitars swept in at the end? I won't even go there lol.
-How to disappear completely = Radiohead: Sad song...a bit hard to listen to but when I do listen to it it's nice.
-Vletrmx 21 = Autechre: I only cried to this once when a powerful image came up one night when I was listening to it. It was like I was in the song. That night I had powerful images with that and EP7. No drugs were used...I guess I was in a really quiet state and I could really really concentrate on what was happening.

Listening to Analogue Bubblebath 1 off Classics when I was 13 right after reading a book called "We All Fall Down", I thought the book was a shitty coming of age book and then at the end I realized that the main two characters (who ended up never seeing each other again because of bad decisions even though they really loved each other, whatever) and was soo sadenned by that when the melody dropped in the song that tears came to my eyes.
corngrower: That's a real powerful story.
