Rush - Leave that thing alone (check out that bass
dammit!!!)
Rush - La Villa Strangiato
Joe Satriani - Flying in a Blue Dream, Love Thing, Rasberry
JAm Delta-V
Genesis - After the Ordeal
Dave Matthews Band - #34

actually, one time when I had LOADS of time to spare, I
programmed the track Leave That Thing Along in QBasic...
pretty much the whole song... You guys say I have too much
time now, well you have no idea what it was like back
then!!! :)

rock instrumentals...

Ok ok ok... Led Zeppelin - The Song Remains The Same - Dazed
And Confused

I believe that that is something like a 26:53 song or
something... even though it has lyrics & such I think it's a
great live performance as well as where the band fucking
rules & just rocks out/solos :)

'Orion' - Metallica

'Jumbo Blimp Jumbo'
'Stage III'
'Capsized'
'Asteroid' All by Kyuss

'One'
'Twenty'
'Thirty Two'
'Five'
'Six'
'Twenty Eight'
'Nineteen' All by Karma To Burn

Yeah, I'd say Orion, that's the first one that comes to
mind. Cliff Burton was fucking talented, classically
trained, it shows in that one... yeesh, that's some nifty
guitar army work.

Orion is the shiznit. I almost forgot about that song. I'm
going to go listen to it now.

Pink Floyd - "One of These Days"
Nine Inch Nails has plenty of good ones.

Don Caballero - 2 (the entire album, especially track 4).

There is also a band here in Louisville called Strike City,
and they are a great instrumental band.

And then there's the Volta Do Mar, who are pretty good.

I don't know, I can't really pick just a song.

I like Fugazi's instrumentals, not too complicated or long
but very cool.

eivac by man or astroman?

Not to sure about the spelling.

i don't know much rock instrumentals, but i like very much

NIN — A Warm Place, The Frail, Complication, Ripe (With
Decay)

Tool — Triad

...and if Peter Gabriel's tracks off Passion can be
considered as rock instrumentals, but i don't think so...
