Who likes Tool? This is one of the best bands in history,
methinks... I've always liked them, but just recently
started REALLY getting into them hardcore. I guess I ignored
them back when they were really big, I was more into
Metallica at the time. I've listened to nothing but Aenima
and Undertow all day.

What's your favorite song/album? I guess Sober and Stinkfist
blow me away the most, and Aenima is really knocking my
socks off.

Lateralus... eh. Sounds like more of the same, almost
indistinuishable from Aenima for me so far... admittedly I
haven't heard it all yet. I'll give it a few more listens.
And I just got Undertow, have it on now... great stuff.

You guessed right Ophecks, I know Tool is a great band and
their drummer is a beast...But I just never got into them.

Yeah, I had trouble getting into them before, and I've
tried... but they've just suddenly clicked for me, for some
strange reason, after a few years. Strange...

The only reason I'd ever use the search feature is if I was
trying to find out which swear word is the most popular on
the
boards.

Example
FUCK- 3006
SHIT- 4696

Shit wins! Great fun, that search feature.

I really enjoy tool a lot. Aenima is the best rock album
ever!

I also thought the cameo on A Perfect Circle was nice... A
lot less grim, but a very good album nonetheless.

Maynard's voice has a different sound on Undertow... it's...
er... SEXIER or something. He puts this tinge on it that he
doesn't have in Aenima or Lateralus, know what I mean?
Especially in Prison Sex and Swamp Song. Kind of croons it
or something...

tool got singed after playing ten live gigs.
they have been around for yearsssssssssss!!!!!
if you like how they and Perfect Circle sound, you should
definately check out the band Failure!
they were the band that took tool from their shite sounding
opiate to aenima!
tool is a grand band i have been into for ever, but FAilure
RULES!!!!
also check out Deftones and Sunny Day Real Estate [Chino and
Jeremy have the best voices evah imo]
toool totally influenced the curent rawk scene, but when
they said lateralus was going to be as big and eye opening
sa aenima, they were sadly mistaken.
not that it isn't a good album, but their creativity
stagnated a bit, although they do rock out for much longer
now!
i saw them live a bit a go and it is quite amazing!
the sound quality is comparable to that on teh CD, but it is
live and they fuck up and jam out more!
Same with Perfect Circle [who actually have Troy Van Leuen
from Failure playiing guitar!]
sorry about the randomness of this chaotic fan faring!

Opiate is definitely NOT shite, and anyone who doesn't like
it and likes the other albums is a fool. But I agree with
you about Lateralus.

i AGREE with ya on the Deftones, Chino's voice is
amazing.....Sunny Day is pretty good....ehehhe

tools last CD doesn't come close to aenima IMO.

i'll check out failure on soulseek....any specific songs?

And I'll get some Failure, that sounds good. I didn't like
the video (and song) I saw of A Perfect Circle, but I'll
give them a shot.
