Has anyone got the special edition of the new album? With
the live CD he did with Cut Chemist and DJ Nu-Mark.
The live CD is better than the album!

the MPC 3 is the best part of the whole damn album!
Listen to it more. Maybe its just cos its a little more
Hip-Hop than the album. The album wasnt what i expected and
that kinda pissed me off.

I just downloaded that live track. actually the main reason
i wanted the special edition of private press is because I
really like digipacks. theyre so much cooler than normal
cases. but i didnt have enough $ for the special edition.

is DJ Shadow's new cd worth getting?

of course it's worth getting, the man's a genius, and how
could anyoone be dissapointed by this album, it may not
sound like Preemptive Strike, but it's fucking fantastic, he
does so much shit, has so many records, it's insane what he
does, how many other artists do you think would be shopping
at an antique store and find a booth that presses private
messages?

you can get two of the bonus tracks from the single released
in May...the live stuff has been available for a while...
mostly from file swapping sites.

The stuff with Cut Chemist is called Brainfreeze. I think it
can be purchased as a seperate album.

does anyone have the preemtive strike special edition with
the extra cd of continual remix by Q-bert?

honestly you should be more pissed off when an album DOES
sound like how you expected it to. where's your sense of
adventure? i have the digipack 2cd, i got it for the same
price as the regular version because the store workers are
retarded. every other store it's $30, and at that price all
copies have still been out of stock in the store (i
bought my copy the first day).

can't say enough good things about this album, but at the
moment i'm listening to pharoahe monch's classic album from
1999. get da fuck up.

hmmm, I've read things here that people were dissappointed
that The Private Press didn't sound like Endtroducing, and
that it wasn't what they were expecting and were pissed
because of it... goodness, and a group like BoC releases
Geogaddi, and they get slagged because people say it sounds
too much like MHTRTC... what do you want?!?!?!?

I bought Endtroducing, and then The Private Press in the
course of a couple months, and The Private Press to my ears
is totally different from Endtroducing, and I think that's
great... I love this album because of the diversity... how
can you be dissappointed when an artist doesn't release what
YOU expeced? That's pretty stupid!!

I'm liking The Private Press more then Endtroducing
actually... Endtroducing is really good, but The Private
Press just sounds better to me...

Yeah I got the Special Edition. DJ Shadow kicked some major
ass live. Probaly the best live show I've ever heard.

I'm starting to think the same way Funkmaster. I've been
going back and listening to it a lot as of late.
