Have you ever slowed down some fast Aphex Twins songs and listened to them?
My bandmate did it and I got to hear some yesterday. Crazy stuff.

I've reversed aphex songs, like nannou2, which is the same the other way.
I'm sure i've played them at the wrong speed or something.

best way is to get one of those Winamp plugins...there's one built in you can use, set it up in Prefs->Plugins..
That does a pitch shift so it's like playing a record a wrong speed, ecept you can play it really slow..like 10% or 200% (double speed) & all in between...
Theres also a timestretcher one that keeps pitch ok...but the quality does go right down when you push it too far...(still pretty funky tho..)...
Loads of detail in later stuff (rdj onwards)...
I LOVE Tha played at 1/2 speed...20 mins of mellow deep bass....recommended..!!!

Get Chronotron for Winamp, it's great! Slows things down, speeds em' up, no pitch change, cool stuff. A bit of a quality drop when you do it, but it's tolerable!
For a while, I could NOT listen to anything at normal speed... I'd either speed it up or slow it down... I broke that habit, though.
Cornish Acid is funky butt shakin' when it's slow. And Windowlicker just takes on a new feel when you speed it up... fuck, it can be addictive fucking around song speeds.

i used to play "a beautiful place in the country" by BOC at 33rpm instead of 45rpm and probably still would do if my mate Barry hadnt pointed it out to me.
Sounds more deep somehow.
