oh, another one is Release by the Afro Celt Soundsystem... right before they recorded this album, a member of their band was killed, and this song (which is partly sung by Sinead O'Connor) was written through the point of view of the killed band member... it's like he's speaking to the living members... it's really moving!! |

I hear about small doses at a time. I used to hunt for bands like RHP (lullaby for the working class, smog, etc..) now it just gets to be to much. its kind of funny...both of the rhp songs that we posted I used to listen to religiously. I just turned 24 the other day and my ex girlfriend (Katy) of four years just moved out about a month ago. she left a month before my planned proposal(had a ring too). when I was younger I used to eat songs like the forementioned up. now when the lyrics hit to close to home I can't even work up the courage to listen just once. |
