okay, so we are done all the packing and the moving and all that. tonight we stay at her parent's house and in the morning we head off to dorval international to catch the 945 plane to kuujjuaq... a year and change in the north. so before leaving, we decided it would be nice to go to montreals finest restaurant (www.restaurant-toque.com). I have heard great things about the chef and his restaurant, and when I went I was expecting nothing but perfection... and I was satisfied. Not only was the six course meal devine (have any of you ever eaten pigeon... it's mighty good), but the service was impeccable, the ambience was great, the dining room was beautiful, the plates were funky, the food was presented artistically, the bread basket was original and varied. But the thing that brought it all home for me that this was a perfect evening was the fact that they had Still Life (talking) by PAT METHENY GROUP on the changer, I was eating and soaking it all in, while following pat and lyle on some of my favorite solos by them... anyways, we've said all our good byes to the extended family and done all we wanted to do. now with one more night left on the high speed internet, im sending off a few emails. not sure when the next time i will be able to use the internet will be... so, on that note, i'm off. take care, all joey |
