im so glad i got those 3 autechre albums last night... they
are amazing

i cant get enough...

well, i can get enough of confield... but i think im taking
it rather well for a first timer!

chiastic slide is so dismal and dark, its like digital
death

and tri repetea is like, i dont know... dark too.... but not
as much as chiastic slide. it seems like a warm dark

chiastic slide is like a cold dark

i dunno

but its great

of course confield is the darkest...

but i cant talk about it yet, cause ive only gave it one
real listen so far. im gonna pop it in again now actually
for another listen...

theres just some thing about chiastic slide... it seriously
feels like if i was dying in some electronic way. hence
"Digital Death"

i dunno

its great

(oh, and after another good listen to Tri Repetea, i must
say it is much, MUCH better every time i listen. )

tri repetae is great, but it's the only technoid "old
school" IDM i'd listen to from them. i Love AE's diversity
between their abulms. back wehn i smoked weed, i listened to
chiastic slide all the time, and it would fucking blow me
away beasue i was so stupified from the greens.

uuummm could just be the breakbeat factor?

zeus the one thing ive found through listening to ae is that
you realy do have to listen to them over and over just to
appreciate the intricate programing and twisted digital
squelches!
happy listening dude!

I am now listening to envane... their last release before
Chiastic slide, and it is a very important step to
understand how they were evoluting "from maths to poetry"
all from the point of view of a humandroid.

autechre has excellent albums, and you can really know them
if you have their 6 LPs, but their EPs are very important,
probably more than in any other artist, cos with the EPs
they show where are they going to in next release... its
like steps out of the path, to investigate if there are new
roads to follow and normally, by investigating with this EPs
they find new directions to follow.

its like, their albums (LPs) are the result, the final
product of a process made out of risky intermediate steps
(EPs)

so, if someone really wants to get into autechre in
depth...they shall also check this little treasures.

some of them are beautifull masterpieces by themselves
(garbage, peel session 1, envane or cichlisuite) some others
were absolutely needed to complete that process in order to
find the final product (anvil vapre, peel session 2 or EP7)
