I have admired the music of Aphex for a good few years now, he is a total genius. I mix his records with loads of other stuff , mainly dark jungle and other warp. I am planning a night in brighton (my home town) there will be three rooms ambient, weird mid range and dark intense. We will also be mixing our own stuff live with the tunes. If any one out there is interested in coming or doing a set let me know. It really fucks me off that so many people love warp and there is not a great deal of regular nights happening. This is something I plan to change. Have a good one !!!!! |

Me and my mate Christian do a monthly night at the Clinic in Soho, London. If you're interested in having us DJ at your thing that would be cool. . . We normally play deep screeching jungle and killer-watt dub, but we could chuck some more abstract elements into the mix for you. We play funk as well but I don't spose that's much use to you... Can't do it if it's the 1st Saturday of the month tho', cuz that's Clinic nite. |

Oh I seee.... the door price. I thought it was a bit cheeky.... Anyway, you'll have to charge on the door if you want to hire a 3 room club, else you won't make any money whatsoever, and you'll have no money to give to acts, to pay for fliers etc. The club'll probably want some money up-front too if you're a first time promoter with no track record. |

The reason it will be free is to get it full of people, I will front the cash my self. There may be a token charge but I want everyone to love it and to have a great night that is more important than cash to me. |

Fair enough, if you've got the cash, front the money. If Brighton really is crying for such a night tho', it shouldn't be too hard to get people to part with a couple of quid. The club'll be making a tidy profit, no reason why you shouldn't. |
