Spectrum faces and stuff

-=[mCp]=- from Frankfurt/Germany on 2001-07-17 10:24 [#00015751]

How can I make such things myself...?
I downloaded the Aphex logo.mp3 and watched the end of CME
and Windowlicker with WinAmp Spectrum analyzer and I'm
fuck'n astonished by this great stuff.
Please help me!

Please, I need to know!

I use a program called Coagula. Basically you draw a
picture, and according to the co-ordinates of the pixels
that you draw, the sound comes out at different pitches and
times. Whatever you draw and render to wav file, you can
view on winamp. It doesn't come out as good as it does in
Coagula, as Winamp squashes the low frequencies on the
spectrograph a bit. You'll see when you do it yourself...
go to http://hem.passagen.se/rasmuse/Coagula.htm
to download it...

Thx man, I really appreciate!

OK, I've got Winamp 2.76 and the "Equation" track. How do I
see the face?
Do you use a built in visualisation or do I need to download
one?

there should be a plugin (under visualization) called winamp
advanced visualization studio, under that there should be
spectrum analyzer + voiceprint. select that and press start
plugin. make sure you have some music going first.

Or you select the plug-in and type X to start the track you
got in your playlist.

There is "Adavanced Visualisation Studio", but under there
is no spectrum analyser or voiceprint. This is a load of
presets, but they're all just pretty stuff...

Found it!
It's under "Nullsoft Tiny Fullscreen"

Seen the face now too, it's at the end, right?

Wow, this is cool Rob.

For that aphex logo I posted, I used some scientific program
to help blind people "see" by hearing images. Took hours of
experimenting to get it recognizable, this is quite lush,
thanks
