This is certainly one of the BEST albums i have heard all
year... it is amazing, on a par with DJ Shadow, which
is quite an achievement

Excellent album

The Horror EP was the follow up and was equally as good,
also check out the Soul Position EP and the new album RJD2
did with Blueprint, all nice stuff.

Does the Horror EP have many tracks on it? Are they
different than those that appear in Dead Ringer?

Yep it has 10 tracks on it.

It has a few remixes of tracks off deadringer on it, a
couple of unreleased bits and a few instrumentals at the
end.

It is a double CD as well, the second disk has live footage
from NY with El-P, Murs and Aesop.

Also a behind the scenes thing about the making of the
Horror video.

Oh and for his straight DJing talents and stuff pick you
"Your Face Or Your Kneecaps" another of my favourites :D

I should start the RJD2 fan club :P

It is great, I'm amazed it's not had more mainstream success
(well, to the level DJ shadow has enjoyed) very accessible,
enjoyable music. Cheers to Jonesy for recommending it to me.

I agree. Anyone who likes DJ Shadow would certainly like
this guy. Dead Ringer got great recognition in underground
circuits and college radio, similiar to DJ Shadow in his
early career, so I'de say if he puts out another album as
solid as this one in the near future, he'll certainly be up
there.

I played "Ghost Writer" last time I played out properly (at
a garden party) and even the old folk were nodding their
heads to it. I don't get why it hasn't been used on a car
advert or something similair.
