I noticed Supreme was upset that nobody mentions this
band... but I love em! Their new 'Hullabaloo' DVD/CD live
set is coming soon... have you heard their new tracks, 'In
Your World' and 'Deathstar'?

In french "Pitoyable, navrant et totalement niais "

listen to them!
Matthew Belamy (singer/guitar/piano)is one of the most
talented musicians I know!

if you don't like them.
So be it,but they deserve some respect.

Their music is totally commercial. The singer is a fake
YORKE/Buckley. I've listen to the both album. Just for MTV
teenagers. There is so much more intersting rock bands...
Yes im an idiot but from a lars von trier movie...

I've only got their first album recorded on MiniDisc but
I've seen them live twice and they did NOT disappoint!

Amazing band.
No-one in their right mind puts them in the same context as
Blink 182 and Korn.
While Travis aren't good as they used to be they're still a
great band too. Seen them three times. Enough though really.
Can't listen to their last album, too nice.

Nothing wrong with commercial music. As long as it's good.

I prefer Muse to both Radiohead and JB

There are more interesting rock bands around, of course.
Start a topic on one of them and fuck off out of here

his generation

Bellamy : one of the most intestin cockeater of his mtv

Good quality pop/commercial music exists!

Oh Stereophonics went sooooooo fucking shit after their
first album.

My favourite current "rock" (guitar) music is the soundtrack
to About A Boy by Badly Drawn Boy. It's excellent.

Why does everyone hate MUSE so much?

They don't sound like nu-metal to ME...
They have their own original sound.
and you really can't compare them with any other band.
Singer Matthew Bellamy is really talented.
He plays the piano since he was four years old,and I like
his voice and the way he uses it a lot.
He plays the guitar in a way no-one
else can.
Really,I don't see any connection with bands like blink
182,Travis or Korn.

gotta go now,sorry

I think I enjoy their album quite a lot, but I never find
the time and money to buy the first one... which one is
better?

Comparing muse to Korn and such is laughable. If you do not
hear a huge differnce in sounds, there is something wrong
with your ears. That's like saying that metallica sounds
like REM or so.

They have good songs with melodies that sometimes get stuck
in your head, such as muscle museum or so.

they have some amazing tracks. Muscle Museum, In your world,
Plug in Baby... some more from the debut album (their only
cd that i own).

But still i always feel like i'm listening to Radiohead
light or something. It sounds alot like them, but
doesn't nearly have as much impact as radiohead themselves.

Still a nice rockband though. One of the best popular ones.

In the year since I made this thread I've got into Radiohead
a bit more - I still don't regard them that highly (although
the new one sounds brilliant) but their songs just don't get
as tedious as quickly as Muse's, probably due to the
nu-metal influence in Muse's music which was Rage Against
The Machine's creativity problem. Both bands share many
similarities (and two fantastic guitar players). Their new
album will apparently be quite different and I think it'll
probably be less modern, more classic sounding. If they go
into electronica then the Radiohead zealots will go nuts...
:D

you can tell its muse without being told that its them if
you're listening to them. whether thats good or bad i dunno.
probably a bit of both.

but muscle museum (from 1st album) and bliss (from 2nd
album) are pretty fine songs

I think they're quite good. The lead singer manages to do
"cock rock" guitar style on a keyboard admirably ;)

I live with one of the moderators on their official board.
His online name is "Parabola" if any of you go there...

Been listening to the new album this weekend, it's got some
duff tracks (and some duff rips too - I hate skipping mp3s!)
but generally it's good. I think his voice is finally
starting to annoy me now ("about time" I hear 99% of you
scream) but this seems to have less filler than the first
two records.

Whats the point of diggin up shit you don`t like? where's
the love. And I think Muse are a good band. Overblown, yes,
but their music is exciting. Which is more than can be said
for pish like Travis etc. Now that is total drivel.

Listening again, and overall I'd say it's a disapointment,
they haven't really delivered what should have been their
