Can anyone tell me anything about Afx's equipment? I know
he uses modified 808s and stuff....does anyone know
particular models of drum machines he uses?

depends on when you are talking about really....

early days yeah, an 808, 909?...perhaps a R8...but
everything gets processed/overdriven so much that they
become kinda trademark AFX...

plus there's always a sampler involved thruout so looking
for particular models etc. can be a bit fruitless...

Nowadays he seems to be 100% computer based; everythings a
sample and they get well mangled so again, drum machine
models don't really come into it...

Do a serach on here for "eqipment"; there are loads of
previous threads that'll probably contain what your looking
for...

HTH...

There's some more info on aphextwin.com

This is the rather disappointing 'official'
aphextwin-website

afx builds his own equipment----
i remember reading about autechre-they were asked to write
about there biography but instead they wrote of all the
equipment they use--does any one know where this article
is??
