What do you preffer? Why?
I think both are completely perfect, and everytime i listen to them i can discover new and amazing sounds and sensations.
Are simply two incredible albums for different moments. or am i wrong?

definitely ICBYD, it seems more 'complete' than the RDJ album... it's just the rdj album sounds a bit hollow in my opinion... IN MY OPINION... don't yell at me please i'm not in the mood for arguing...

I care because you do - definitly.
Its just far better, its more of a whole, as the person before said, and it says more about his style, and talent. In my opinion, id say ICBYD anyday.

I like RDJ Album more. I don't know why, it's just that the songs on ICBYD never really impressed me.

ICBYD "Start as you mean to go on" always stirs up a strange nostalgic feeling in me. Can't explain it.

I always listen to RDJ Album less because it is so damn short. I want to chill out in my room and listen to stuff and I have barely started my bok when the damn thing has come to and end. I am listening to it now though and have realised how much I have neglected it. It is truly amazing, the first track of this album and ICBYD have pretty much the same effect on me even though they sound quite different.

while i prefer the analogue phase of his career, i have to say that RDJ album is, after SAW1, my favorite. i love ICBYD to death, but RDJ album is shorter and often sweeter, despite all the manic rhythms. but a tough question nevertheless - mookid and alberto balsalm on ICBYD are lovely in ways unimaginable by any other electronic music standards

icbyd after hearing at the heart of it all on the NIN ep, it was the first aphex twin i bought. his work with vocoders on that album is fucking unreal.
also, it is quite minimal but still full of depth. RDJ is fucking chow yun PHAT though.

ICBYD was my first RDJ album as well. I actually bought it when it first came out and thought it was complete shit. Just utterly shitty.
And for some reason about a year later, I decided to listen to it again, and for some reason I just really really liked it a whole lot. I reckon its still my favorite RDJ album, that or SAWII, although SAWII can annoy me quite a bit sometimes, even so it's still right top.

RDJ album is superior in my opinion. The first 5 or 6 songs anyway. The song 4 fills my veins with energy. The song after that (cornish acid?) is composed in some alien manner of thinking. It's like he tapped into the innermost fractals of his mind when he made that rhythm. The 4th song (fingerbib?) is made with a sweet little beat based on a rhythm of 5 units not the usual 4. It sounds like bees. There are some great songs in ICBYD too. If you've played tetris for N64, it has similar music.

It can't be said which album is better because they each have a completely different sound. Each one is excellent to its own accord.

Yes IMO, ICBYD stays strong right through, more of a complete package like I said, it has more variety as for song structure, and keeps me interested longer.

Since i get to have both the Girl/Boy EP on my version of RDJ album, i'll pick that one. But there both very good.
RDJ has a better amount of songs, but ICBYD has a more fufilling list. Both good buys...SAW is the best of them all though.
