anyone who likes the piano stuff on Drukqs, should check
out John Cage's "Prepared Pieces for Piano"

he sticks bolts and pieces of wood and rubber in the piano
strings... it sounds so awesome.

Seriously amazing

(hes from the 40's... im sure AFX was inspired by him.)

Derrick May is kick ass too, although he's much later
compared to the other fellows and not piano orientated..
hrmm.. Without a doubt an Aphex influence as well.

did you check out the XLR8R interview?
he said some bits about it there i believe.
...checking.....
they only printed a little bit of the article and nothing
was talking about johnny cage.
shite.
what he said ws something like, he always takes things apart
to see what happens, and when he got that piano he was
sitting on his hands just to keep from messing with it.
he finally did and voila!
i think he said he may have owned a JC album, but never
really listened to it that much.
or not, i can't remember.
that was a long time ago!
