Really... i'm starting to feel like shit in my apartment here.
See, it's an really old building and the walls doesn't seem to be very soundproof. But anyway, it doesn't matter HOW SILENT i play music, there is always SOMEONE banging on the wall, roof whatever to make me stop the music, even if i play extremely silent.... I mean.... i just can't take it no more! I cant listen to music anymore, without being afraid someone will knock on the wall or there is some neighboir at the door, telling me to shut the fuck up.
I have to move away from here, but i can't afford it i think.... I'm also thinking of moving out to my mom, far out in the country, but there i'll be completely without internet/people... but what the f uck, at least i'll have my music....
I'm going insane here, together with my insane neighbours...
=(

look into political laws regarding playing sound loud... you may have the legal right to until some set time, like 10 pm or something.

Maybe you play your music too loud?
Fuck's sake man, maybe these people have kids that can't sleep because of your noise. Maybe they can't sleep or relax because of it. You might be fucking people's lives up! I don't know if you should feel good that you made someone move away because of it.
Like Laserbeak said: use headphones!
If you can't listen to your music at a volume that others can tolerate, then that is your problem so you should move away. You shouldn't make it a problem for others.

sometimes headphones just got to do, I don't like 'em that much either, but my roomy blares his music sometimes, get some noise canceling ones or something.
Work on getting out of there, but until then, don't give up on your music.

manicminer might be right about hte volume though. How loud do you need it? If you can't watch TV without complaint, then something is up, but if you can, should be ok for low level music not to disturb neighbors.

And believe me, you'd be surprised just how far bass tones will travel through walls and floors and stuff. You can have music on really quite quietly, yet the kick drum will be quite clearly audible next door.

Well, it's not the other residents' faults that the walls are thin. I would say: play it VERY quiet or on headphones. And, if that really bothers you, find somewhere new.

Well, maybe :)
Just try to think of other people. You might be really fucking other people's lives up with the noise. It's not their fault the walls are thin.
I'm trying to be helpful here rather than just saying "Fuck them, turn it up on full volume".
Anyway, I must sleep now. Goodnight and I hope things work out well for you (and your neighbours!)

I'm listening to Autechre's ANTI EP at ear shattering levels right now, nobody home, so I can go musically ballistic. I would HATE to be in your position... ergh...
You should lock the doors, turn the volume up to a loud but acceptable level, and ignore everything. And if your neighbours threaten to kill you or something, THEN maybe consider turning it down a notch or three...
