 | While Im in the middle of a phone call talking to my councellor about my music addiction, these are the cds I got
 today:

 Manitoba: Start Breaking My Heart
 Squarepusher: Maximum Priest

If any of you have that Manitoba cd, what's that child sing
at the end of Happy Ending? "You just have to get one"? I
 don't know. Its so halarious.

By the way, what's with all these Canadian artists going
really 'kiddie'? It's really weird and Im getting scared.
Boards of Canada naming songs after kids and kid
 activities...now Manitoba.

 Good stuff.

 | No kidding Funkmaster. BoC so resembles Canada and the feeling of Canada its sickening. The sound of BoC is so 80s
too...like I can go back to Expo 86 or something in my mind
 even though I don't think I went...

 | Ever SEE one of the National Film Boards of Canada films?
They have this eerie feel, really retro... used to watch
nature films in school. They had this somber, melancholy,
 MAGICAL feel... like BOC.

 | I just remembered I used to watch Natioinal Film Board of Canada cartoons. Some have really scared me but here are
some I really hope the rest of you Canadians can remember!
 Would love to reminise:

(These are past old 80s cartoons from NFB of C)

That logger guy. Someone sang and this logger was was on a
log going down this stream and other rivers. went over a
water fall...tried his best to keep on top. had a girl on
with him I think. Animation was pretty crude but good. It
was a short...like a music video for the song.

A little boy and girl really loved speghetti and this old
lady named Straganona came over with a magic pot to make
speghetti with and every time she'd say "Straganon says
start eating". at the end the little boy and girl, after
having watched her and her magic, made the pot make
speghetti for them using the right command. Well the pot
kept making speghetti over and over and over till it flooded
the town. Straganona got back and saw what had happened
went to the house clearing away the speghetti with her
magic. she went up to them and sad "Straganona says start
 eating"

A chinese one where some guy falls in a well...animation was
really harsh. can't remember much of it.

 Anyone remember any of those?

 | Yeah, I loved that log driver guy... I remember that.
Those little films have this odd feel... can't explain it.
The crudeness is so endearing or something.
