Does anyone find that Aphex is becoming a lot more known lately? They have a section for him at mtv.com now, and on a MTV equivelent in Canada (muchmusic), they show small clips of the windowlicker video in an add for one of there shows... ....does this bother anyone?? |

Not at all... I don't want to sound like a fucking dick (although I will do), but I remember getting Didgeridoo when that was the only thing the boy had out, and it was like I had access to a little secret world that no other fucker knew about. But these days even my guitar-music-loving mates are into Aphex, and to be honest, who am I to say that they don't love his stuff as much as I do? So much 'underground' stuff ends up going overground, you can either stay along for the ride or jump off the rollercoaster and watch bitterly from the sides... If you follow my slightly wank metaphor.... |

anyone who dislikes or likes any music for any other reason than the music itself is, in my opinion, a dick. so what if more people know about rjd. so what if it maybe seen as 'uncool' by all those spotty pricks with spunk on their shorts. how is that gonna effect the music? |
