First Time Listening to Kid A

Ok, speaking of Amnesiac got me remembering the first time
I listened to Kid A... Kid A was probably the "strangest"
album I had heard up to that point has I hadn't heard any
IDM back then... I remember the day, my parents had left to
go on a trip for a week, and my sister was gone for the
weekend, but she picked up Kid A at the store for me before
she left... so I spend the weekend listening to it over and
over and over... I dunno, I've read that people have found
it inaccessible, but it was very much accessible for me... I
loved it on first listen... I dunno, there was nothing
special about the weekend I guess, except for the music, but
it sticks out in my head as a good one...

I also remember I had some friends over that night, and I
played it and they were like "That's Radiohead's new album?
It sucks!!!" :)

Yeah, i know what you mean. The first time i listened to
it, I wasn't sure what to make of it. I relaly like a few
songs almost instantly (Like how to disappear & idioteque)
but the rest I didn't quite get until after many listens.
Now it's surely one of my favorites.

oh, and yes, i like Kid A too..... i guess at the time it

i think most people found kid a to be a weird album on first
listen, since we (or me, at least) were expecting some kind
of ok cumputer II.

I remember listening to Kid A for the first time... I didn't
like it. Then a week later I did. Then a week later I got
into Aphex Twin. Then Kid A sounded signifigantly LESS
impressive, but still great.
