Yes, Telefon Tel Aviv is really nice.
I also really like Freesca, Casino Vs Japan (specifically
the album Go Hawaii and Manual.

Also check out Herrmann and Kleine, and D'ntel.

I meant it more like this;
"I also really like Freesca, Casino Vs Japan (specifically
the album Go Hawaii) and Manual."

Manual is actually a different artist.

BTW, Freesca is one of my favorite new artists. The music is
so beautiful. If I were to compare it to anything I would
say it was a really good mix between the sounds of BoC and
Plaid.

Rotor+

a very cinematic version of Boc, they are quite clearly
influenced by them, they even have a track called "BOC
(Everything You Do Is...)" which also has a lady singing
about balloons :) crazy

but they are definately not plagerists... have a listen to
them, their album "Aileron" is wicked, it even has videos
and a awesome booklet.

Freescha- "Lift"

much more uptempo than most of their material, but this song
is really good. Grab their wntire "Slower Than Church Music"
off of Soulseek. I don't think that anyone will be
dissapointed. They are really, realy good with textures and
melody. Very highly recommended!

As you know Japan is very out of date
for electoronica music.
worthless music are broadcasted by TV
and Radio every day.
recently i knew "aphex twin' face"that
Richard put picture into sound .
When i hearded this news. i'm very
suprised.
But European people had already known it.
What a old fashion country!!
We can't keep up with latest issue.
by the way Richard is awesome..

Akira had a great soundtrack. That guy had some talent, and
none of the present IDM artists could of influenced him
really, since the movie was released in like 1988.

offline far-east monkey from psychiatry hospital in osaka on 2002-06-03 06:19 [#00247491]

right. it was released in 1988.
even now i can't believe AKIRA was maked in 1988.
it is hardly necessary to say,but
it is a pioneer for future cartoon.
