Check Ceri's thread re: GTA3...he had a lot of problems with it on a PC with XP and |Nvidia cards.... I sill haven'tplayed GTA1....so much for being on the cutting edge...;)... |

I've finally got it working for the PC and it is sooooo much better than the PS2 version. I've already made a skin of myself for it. Unfortunately due to the player model the skinning opportunities are quite limited... |

ive had it for a while -- its too much fun the game has a built-in mp3 player so you can load []pusher tracks or whatever you like while you play -- adds to the addiction leve like crazy |

On the PC- Much better controls (especially the camera). Faster. Better graphics esp. more detailed textures. Better surround sound support. Skinnable main player character. You can play MP3s on the "radio" in the car (yes kids, this means you can play GTA3 listening to venetian snares and Aphex Twin). It's £5/10 Cheaper depending where you buy it. |

This is one incredible game. Well worth the money, without a doubt. I initially was pretty puzzled as to why the text wouldn't display properly (I have an Nvidia card) but the MS patch worked a treat and it plays superbly. Absolutely ace. I'll grow well too, and the multiplayer version that's sure to come out will be incredible. I'd say fuck the download and buy it because it is a game worthy of a purchase. |

You know the patch in the readme? It doesn't work for us with Swedish XPs. The dll that needs to be updated is called d3d8.dll (also in the readme) is not for download on Microsoft's site, so I downloaded the DirectX C++ SDK, all 124 megs of it and it fixed the texture problems :) -P |

they're on the 2nd CD Ceri... Just sort them by size, the biggest wav-files are the radio stations! :) |

My version of gta3 works really slowly. Could it be that i have to get this DirectX C++ SDK upgrade? my computer meets the recommended requirements. any idéas would be helpfull! |
