I wish the final dark side of the meddle animal`s momentary
lapse of the final cut division moon- wall were here. Oh
Ummagumma!!!!!!!

Barrett, Syd from Cambridge on 2001-07-12 00:02 [#00014333]

not really, though they did help make it more popular.

Wendy Carlos did alot more for electronic music than pink
floyd ever did.

OSILLYSCOPE from DUDLEY on 2001-07-12 08:04 [#00014380]

The chord sequence to windowlicker is a rip off of High
Hopes by Pink Floyd Cmin Aflat G and the funky bit is
pilfered from Ghostbusters
People should know these things!

Oscilly Scope

I was listening to that record the other day and I am sure I
heard a snippit of the "Trap Door" theme tune.

It does not matter to me as it is still good.

one part in 'welcome to the machine' is very similar to
their later song 'high hopes' as well

OSILLYSCOPE: I reckon that the most of Windowlicker is a
reworked sample of "Policy of Truth" by Depeche Mode....take
a listen and tell me if that makes any sense...

i don't think pink floyd invented techno... have you heard
of brian eno?? even early talking heads is far more
techno-ish the floyd ever was..... but that is just my
opinion...
