Did they fix the ugly fonts in the new SuSe? My SuSe 7.1
fonts look ugly(no anti-aliasing like Windows). Does the new
KDE 3 fix this?

Linux really does rule these days. It's as easy to use as
win, and 1000x more stable imho.

And its FREE!

bleh. linux is ugly unfriendly unsecure and boring. bsd is
good for servers. windows (2k/xp) is cool (no iis tho).

but, my next os: mac os x!
yeah that's right, the former unix and pc geek is about to
be the proud owner of a g4 powerbook. ooh i can't wait.

What's so much better about Linux? Are there any screen
shots or anything, I want to see what it looks like. I've
only ever used Windows 98.

BTW, is Windows 98 considered a good OS?

i like 98
i also like XP
except itz total lack of DOS support
so for a pure Windows enironment i;d recomend XP with a
cable modem so you can get all the updates
but 98 kicks ass with the DOS
i wanna get into Linux
but i;d rather have a seperate machine to do it on
i also wanna get into macs espacially to check out that
MAX/MSP shite!!!

Haha cre hate to do it to you, but Windows 98 is one of the
best ever built. VERY stable. Slightly dated, but good.

Linux is better. Much faster. Linux is just text based
unless you have the X window system, then its similar to
windows, very easy to pick up.

Windows 2000 pro, Redhat Linux 7.2, Windows 98, Mac OS 7.5-
9.1, windows ME (sucks)

Free BSD, Linux, or Unix on a server, no excuses.
