The makers of slsk are experiencing some financial
problems, and need donations.

Acording to Nir (the maker of Soulseek) about half of 1
percent have made a donation.

What do u get in return? Well, for every $5 you donate, you
get priority dwnloading for 1 month. and it's well worth it.
virtually NO waiting in line to dl!

$5 a month is just pennies a day, and i think that everyone
can afford that. Also, you might want to look at the
monetary value of the crop of CD's you have collected via
SoulSeek. Personally, I have downloaded over 9 gigs, and i'm
still going strong!

Point your browser to www.soulseek.org and click on the
paypal button to set up an account and help keep SoulSeek
alive!

hummm sounds fair enough.....but what does priority

i thought it went according to what place in line you were,
and how fast your connection. mine sucks big time.....grrrr

if it put me at the head of the line tho....i'll definately
sign up...ehehhe

thanks nanotech. the truth is the situation really isn't
that bad anymore. the donations have been flowing pretty
steadily in the few days we've been offering download
privileges and for now we're in the clear. whereas I was in
a bit of a panic before, I'm more than comfortable letting
things take their course now. I don't see more than a
fraction of our users ever making donations on a regular
basis, but we only really need a fraction to keep going.
true, only about 0.5% have made a donation so far, but it's
been less than a week. things are definitely looking up.
