Is this wrestler dead.

I was watching the news this morning and saw the end of a
sentence on the bottom of the screen:

"......th dead at the age of 39"

Is this correct ?

Isn't Ultimate Warrior dead too? I know Hulk Hogan died a
long time ago.

I didn't think Davy Boy Smith was dead, his brother-in-law
Owen Hart is. He fell to his death from an arena rooftop.
Hulk Hogan isnt dead though!

I used to watch WWF (as it was called), but haven't in about
3 years....it got a bit corny! Too much like a soap opera
and not enough blood and guts!

The Hart family were one of my favourite superstars from the
WWF. I actually met Brett Hart and shook hands with him
(Jedi Chris' claim to fame!)

....I'm gobsmacked!

BTW Jarworski, who's the guy in your pic, its been bugging
me, he looks familiar

OH NO!

Tragedy always strikes the Hart family!

Owen Hart died tragically, and Davey's tag team partner from
the day's of old, the Dynamite Kid, had an amazing career
ended prematurely. DAMN THE WORLD! I'm sad.

Talking about wrestlers, I was watching Spiderman last night
(the movie) and I thought the wrestler that Spiderman was
battling against was Randy Savage - not sure though!
Could've been, so many wrestlers seem to be in films lately.
For example The Rock, and both Hulk Hogan and the Undertaker
have been in films...(crap films, but nevertheless...)

Yeah, the Macho Man is in Spiderman! I hope he comes back to
the WWE. Randy Savage is one of the greats.

Shawn Michaels and Diesel were great favourites of mine. I
used to like the way Shawn Michaels would refuse to fight
matches with certain contenders, because he didn't think
they were worthy enough of the title. The pair of them used
to do a 'sketch' on the show called 'The Heartbreak Hotel'
were they'd invite other wrestlers on stage, and just
ridicule them!! Great stuff - anyone remember it? It's
gotta be about 1995ish!

Shawn Michaels is one of the most talented wrestlers ever,
his Iron Man match at Wrestlemania 12 with Bret Hart was
amazing...

Shit, it's just sinking in that Davey Boy's dead, fucking
hell! Depressing!

Rick Rude wasn't 39 years old though was he? He was about
55!

Jake the Snake is well famous/infamous for his drug problem
- I'm actually surprised he isn't dead! (Or is he???)

Dino Bravo got killed by the Mob or something, they broke
into his house and blew to bits with a shotgun.

Junkyard Dog got killed driving home from his daughter's
graduation last year or so. :-(

rick rude was only 41.

the real tragedy of wrestling is the doomed von erich family
(remember the texas tornado?? shot himself aged 33) they all
either killed themselves or died of overdoses - the youngest
killed himself at 21

Oh, I know... the Von Erichs... brother after brother
suffering tragic deaths... the first died at the age of 5 or
something, electrocuted in a storm...

God doesn't like wrestlers, apparently.

There were actually three different people who portraided
the Ultimate Warrior, and one of them died of a drug
overdose

There was the early one, then the most famous one who
everyone loved (who died of the drug overdose), then the
crappy imposter who returned to help Hogan at the Sid Justic
match

Actually, the Ultimate Warrior thing is an urban legend. Jim
Hellwig has ALWAYS been the Ultimate Warrior. Right from
when he teamed with Sting pre--WWF to when he was with WCW.
He's still alive... but he's clinically insane, or
something... he changed his name, legally, to ''Warrior''
:-/

different person.

I think that happened at WM8, from Sid Justice. I haven't
watched that in years... but I'm sure it's the same guy as
it's always been. I think he wasn't as buff or something, so
he might have looked different... they were cracking down on
steroids at the time. And I'm pretty sure he WAS on them.

One urban legend I've heard about him is that those crazy
armbands he was wearing cut off the circulation in his arms,
and he died of a blood clot after a match. 0_o

No, it was on JUST that occasion, the body was the same, but
he looked completely different... afterwords it went back to
the same guy, but watch that match again.... you'll see
