I suppose you could say that....I've never been to a game before, and would like to. We have a local team here called the Cardiff Devils - I might find out when there next home game is!
I was overwhelmed with how crazy people are for the sport, when I went to Toronto - hence me coming home with all the Leafs merchandise!! :-)
Its great stuff!

Crushed by the Wings? Ha Ha
What is Montreal like as a city? Some say it's more historic.

Ophecks takes his hockey too seriously. Typical Canadian ;)
Ophecks: Fun fact, did you know that nova scotia has the greatest range (in distance) of tide in the world? My hometown (Barry) has the second :)

Yeah, a little too seriously... I cried when I watched Carolina beat Montreal. Tears welled up in my eyes and I cried like a baby. And it's only just sinking in, the disapointment.
Chris, Montreal is very historic, while Toronto is just an ugly shithole. With a shit team to boot!
As for the tide thing... I didn't know that, I thought it was New Brunswick, right beside us. The Bay of Fundy between NB and NS. Bah, I hate geography anyway.

the wings/avs game today is going to be great, the whole series is going to be a battle. I hope the wings win and then meet toronto in the finals. Like joey said, two of the original six teams going at it, makes for a good final, but i don't think the leafs are much of a threat to either detroit or colorado.

My trip to Toronto is the first time that I have been across the Atlantic, and I must say I was really impressed.

Canada winning the gold medal was nice, but there was no big deal with it. Just a bunch of over paid cry babies being all patriotic about our silly little country. I thought it was good to see it happen, it was a good hockey game, but as for pride and all that, nothing hit me. It was just another well played game of hockey.

It is allways nice when your country wins something at the 'global' level - a united sort of feeling. Makes you proud to be !
