Well I just got back home from college, which means a
switch from DSL to a 28.8, and sadly enough I must take a
leave of absence from the board (gasp!)as I just can not
stand the fact that it takes 5 minutes just to load the
page, I will miss you all so very dearly, goodbye for now

Try to reduce the number of posts per page and turn off
personal images.
It can make it significantly faster.

I can sympathize. I suffered for YEARS with a 14.4k. Maybe
you can disable images from loading and use the bare minimum
settings for threads and posts, maybe that'll make visiting
this thread a little more bearable? Albeit not as visually
pleasing.
