It's a sad loss of culture but inevitable I suppose. I speak Irish passably, but it's of zero use whatsoever except as secret code between me and my wife.
The sad thing is that it keeps otherwise qualified people out of positions in Ireland. You need to pass Irish in school in order to get jobs in teaching, the Gardai (police), and some civil service positions. That sort of thing has to go ...

Whilst I'm all for it being kept in museums or for historical/cultural purposes it's sick when it keeps people out of work or deterts people from investing in Wales.

hmm...what secrets should i reveal to you all...
its weird...to me there doesnt seem like anything about me that people people dont know..but would find interesting...yet i've been told im 'mysterious'...which i suppose is better than being invisible...or ignorable
but anyways... something that most of you probably dont know about me is that i share hulk hogan's last name...heh..so of course when i was little and into wrestling..he was my favorite...and kids always asked if i was related to him...and of course i said yes...even though im not
...or am i?
...thats not even his real last name is it?
hmm.. i used to have 4 dogs...until last april or may..then i had three until last october...when 2 died...now i just have 1
oh...i used to have turtle too...a chinese box turtle...named teddy(i got him in 2nd grade) but he ran away last summer...(yes he ran away...dont laugh)

hahaha, i'm sorry, i know you specifically said not to laugh but that's just funny.
i used to have a turtle as well, and a dog, but then the dog ate the turtle, and then the dog got hit by a car.

its ok...the idea of a turtle running away is pretty funny...he really did though...i left him alone for 5 minutes...and when i came back he was long gone...
i suppose if he figured out how to hibernate and evade dogs and coyotes after 10 years in a terrarium he may still be alive.. so i guess its better than having him die in my room..that was one thing i was always afraid of...to come home and find him dead...so i guess its probably better this way

i'm always afraid of coming home and the doors being locked and having to climb up the fire escape into my room. because
1. i'm scared of heights, 2. if i can climb up the fire escape into my room, so can any other given person and that's not a comforting feeling
