I have two recently completed tracks in zipped loop
format--can you check them out and tell me what you htink?
One of them I think turned out pretty well, the other one I
think needs something.

Well, the first one is good and the second one is gooder. I
suggest adding some goodness to the first one, and leaving
the second one as is.

Oh shit, I'm not Flea!!!

okay just listening to mandibles now..took a bit to
digest..it's a massive sprawling track..heaps of really cool
stuff going on..two critiques so far...the lowest kick is
just flat and dull sounding..I would loose that..it's taking
a lot away from everything else...most of the riffs I
like..pretty spooky and quirky at the same time.....secondly
some of the sections are going on for a bit too long..I
would reduce the number of times they are repeated..the last
cat sounding synth is hysterical..but carries on for a bit
too long...the vocal sample going aaah is fantastic..

hence like I said a bit of snipping and tidying up you have
got a cool song

plus that snare rush..export it as a single track and then
reimport it and feed it to the grianulizer and clone the
track a few times..with slightly different tweaks and
settings....and alternate them..rather more randomly and
slightly more often...

hope this helps..

Thanks! Yes, that helped a lot!
I'll be fixin' the kicks and snares--maybe cutting some of
the synths shorter, too!
Thanks again! Much help!
