Ohh my god I just saw this movie for the first time!!!!

It was incredible!!! A very good movie indeed. I saw Requim
For a Dreams two months ago and was stunned, and this movie
was brilliant too!!!!

I knew the movie had a great soundtrack too, Autechre,
Orbital etc
Too bad Bucchaleus Bouncing balls only made the cd.

Have u seen it?

I half saw it when I was very tired and kept falling
asleep/waknig up through it. That was a couple of months
ago.

I bought it on DVD yesterday. Watched it for the first time
properly today. It's brilliant- even better than requiem IMO
(although that's very good too).

Supreme: U MUST SEE IT!!!

Upcoming project:

LAST MAN

Cast: Brad Pitt, Cate Blanchett

Crew: Darron Aronofsky (director/co-writer), Ari Handel
(co-writer), Eric Watson (producer--likely).

Release Date: 2003 (Filming starts summer of 2002.)

Studio: Warner Bros.

Plot: Little is known about this film although Darren has
revealed that the title gives something away about the plot,
so we can only guess. (When asked about the film Darren
said, "It's a post-Matrix, metaphysical Sci-Fi movie, and
it's very different to anything you've seen. I call it
post-Matrix because Matrix reinvented sci-fi in the same way
Star Wars did, or 2001. I'm in a new environment, I'm trying
to figure out what type of film would play to an audience
now, and I think we came up with something really cool."

Note: This film was also referred to as Darren's Untitled
Scifi Film, as the title was not revealed for sometime. Even
now, the name of the film has not been officially confirmed.

I know it is short, but I think what Dave means is that it
*seems* long because of lots of the repetition that is used
to build up the atmosphere of tension, paranoia and
insomnia. E.g. the same shot looking out onto the stairs,
the "locking the door" or taking pills film that's used a
lot and the repetition of the music.

It is a very good film.

Mr Flappympants:
Pi is about: Maths, Genius, Religion and Madness.
Excellently executed and with a superb soundtrack.

It's an excellent film. I rented the dvd once on a whim -
didn't know what to expect. But now it's one of my favorite
movies of all time. It's got everything - Nice photography,
slick editing, cool soundtrack, etc! :)

Sigh, I still haven't watched it...

Can you get it on Soulseek or anything like that? My severe
laziness prevents me from doing anything outside the
confines of my frickin' computer, it seems like!

PI was ok, I was let down because I felt like it could have
been so much more. Some of the technical bits just made me
cringe.

I would not watch it again ...

I rented PI once from videotron, but the cassette was fuct
and I couldn't watch the whole thing. after a few minutes
it went all fuzzy and was not a pleasant site. I am a sad
person because of it.

:-(

i wanted to BUY eraserhead.....but it's not sold anywhere in
the US or CANADA. i was told it was banned......i dunno if
it's true or not but it can't be ordered on VHS or DVD
(which i would prefer)

Xanatos.....it's so damn freaky and weird it's impossible to
describe. suffice it to say it's david lynches first
masterpiece .....ORIGINAL in a word =0)

you can order it from david lynch's web site for about $30.
i think that's the only place to buy it. if i recall
correctly it comes autographed? and maybe has some extra
features. info is on the site. very expensive tho. i have it
on a cd-r (divx movie file), i can give that to you if like
(you'd have to watch it on your computer, but it's perfect
quality).

As far as I know, it has not been banned, but discontinued
due to lack of interest from videostores and such.

super movie.....
sat through a Q & A with the director (Aronofsky sp?) and
producer I believe. Pretty nutty guys, but genious in their
own right.

Ya, 90 min isn't long at all, music fits the movie really
well

Ahhh...Pi; my fave movie of all time...

The voice-over tracks on the DVD are pretty cool if you want
a insight into how to make a movie for < $100,000 & want to
catch some of the other references in Pi...I *love* DVD
extra audio tracks, I guess they appeal to the geek in
me...

There's a Script/Shooting Diary available as well; again
it's an excellent insight into the Filmmaking process...

I loved the film and Requiem for a Dream was great too. Why
do people leave the'e' off of the title though?
