doesn't work.

when i do a right click it downloads 6k.
when i click directly i get this:

Angelfire does not allow direct linking

to files hosted on Angelfire.

shit, still won't work. This time 45 bytes. Weird.

I'll be back later. Have to practice for a concert I'm
performing on Wednesday, accompanying two violinists and a
flautist. 16 fucking pages!
So, l8r.

wow..another mini epic.. I love how many entirely seperate
sections you can fuse into one flowing track..I can easily
picture this on a movie Lynch and Greenaway make
together..but the beats make it more Afrosky(Pi/Requiem)
territory...

Intro sounds like a Xenogears town-section song (at
first),..which isn't bad! I love Xenogears town-music,..
.I.like the tremolo part,.....but melody seems all over the
place,....I'm waiting on more structure,....the beat isn't
working for me,.....thats personal.

I like the beginning & ending,...bass & beat need structure
in my opinion

who the hell are xenogears? -- the beat is very structured
-- maybe you should listen to it until you work it out?

I think it's a video game...and yeah I dig the beats..:)

offline plugexpert from Nijmegen (Netherlands, The) on 2002-05-12 23:38 [#00216957]

yes it's a PS1 videogame,....a RPG from Squaresoft. 1 of my
favorite games.

About the beat,....I'm not saying it's completely
wack,..it's just didn't move me. I can't see a particular
label invest time in this tune because of it's
structure,..it starts out ok,....then you have a beat
part...folowed by a bassline,.to finish off sorta like how
it started. I feel the inapropriate bassline is the weakest
link in this tune , but thats just how a nigga feels

hmm -- if i wanted to write/structure a song to be invested
in by a label, then i would get out my paint-by-numbers book
and follow the pattern -- each part is there for a specific
reason, each part incorporates a specific theme running thru
the piece; i use "classical music" devices and ideas -- so,
if record companies would rather invest in loop-based
material which follows a known structure than that's fine by
me.

but thanx for taking the time to listen and assess it.

marlowe I know where you are coming from...I have pretty
much the same attitude towards creating music..but cut
plugexpert some slack..the guy's actually quite good at what
he does...though his style is quite different from yours or
mine..he's just trying to be honest and giving his opinion
based on his own experience and frame of reference..

yeah i appreciate that -=- is he the one who studied
electronic composition at college? i don't mean to have a go
at him or anything...just an insight into my personal
musical process; everyone's is different (i would hope!). i
was into classical music long before electronica, so i guess
my approach in composition is more in line with that-- i
guess that's my influence :)

on orchestral and operatic slant..you might quite enjoy it:)
