i heard aphex uses this to chop things up live. does he use a sequencer or what? does recycle responde to midi note data? like each chopped section is a different midi note?
that would be wonderful.

I'd just hook the stuff up and play with it. It's more fun that way most of the time...

Yup you can!
I don't have it, but i had a chat a while back with a dude from the local music/electronic music store .. and he said that was one of the biggies bout recycle (this was 1.7 as well, i doubt very much that it won't be included on 2) .. ?
man that flame is distracting .. so hard to type with that thing going off every second.. :)

if it didnt do this then this program would be otherwise "virtually" useless other than slight chopping abilities and that attack decay ability to make things stutter. of course anything that does anything has a use though.
but this midi thing opens up doors.

most people just use recycle to chop samples up...
Like a drum break into little bits n hits or a series of notes into seperate samples...
Saves loads of time...doing that shit by hand used to sooo boring..now it's done n dusted in seconds...
I don't know many people who use it as a sampler (like you want to..)...there's far better samplers out there than recycle for doing that...
Hope this helps..
