Sending cash in the post. Is it safe? What's the best way to do it without having to worry about it getting lost or something?

Use a certified check or money order... Cause I think if they never get the money order you can just get your money back with the reciept-half of it...

I have no experience sending money whatsoever.
Basically I want to send a certain amount of Euros from Germany to another European country that also has Euros as its currency.
What's a postal order exactly?
