We should use evolution to select the unfit instead...
that'd be odd. hmm, I guess our species already does that
actually.

Coldcut included a simple piece of software that did this on
a special edition of "Let us Play". It was interesting, but
not too listenable.

If you were going to make a program to do this, it'd be
easiest to make one that did ambient stuff like SAW 2.

Yeah current society favours the weak and stupid. It's a
sign that we have become degenerate. In a few generations
we'll be fucked...

Look at America where you can sue someone because you
tripped up in their house. Surely this favours clumsy
people? And people who can't understand instructions on
things, get compensated when they blow up/burn themselves...
surely this favours stupid people?

Digging thru some The Wire's last night I found issue 207 -
May 2001...

It's got an absolutely great long article all about
Generative music and the like..written by David Toop (The
Ocean of Sound guy & long-term experimental musician)...
covers Oval, Autechre & loads of more obscure artists who
have done some work in this area...

The earliest example they speak of from 1026 ... so prepare
to have your eyes opened if you think this sort of thing is
a techy 20th century invention...

I don't think the article is online but you can pick up back
issues at http://www.thewire.co.uk .... I'll try and find time to scan
it this weekend if anyone is interested...
