Alec empire didn't make any money doing his music until
atari teenage riot.

No one wanted to buy it.

He released a bunch of stuff using freeware that no one
would buy.

He had about 15 different names that he released under. I
don't know how he convinced the label bosses that "this
album might actually pay for itself".

Then he found 3 useless kids that wanted to become
rockstars, and got them to yell a lot, and he put the word
teenager in the name, and it became an international
success.

Once again proving that in the music industry, marketing is
everything.

i think alec empire does some great music - i have the
collection of singles 1990-1994 (i guess, dunno it right
now) which is pretty good shit, some acid, some ambient, and
all have a special gloomy sound to it that i like alot ...

the other ones future jazz 2001 - a strange but good record
imo, very freaky and crazy, but interesting sounds and
rhythms - so all in all i like ae :) ... definitely check
him out, cause he made shitloads of albums ...
