|REFLEX| from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada on 2001-07-08 09:50 [#00013148]

... IS USING PRO-TOOLS.

H3XAN3 [C6H14] from Melb. on 2001-07-08 12:07 [#00013164]

does anyone here use pro-tools? i have the free version of
it, all seems pretty complex to me.

boxrocket from here i am on 2001-07-08 12:10 [#00013165]

there's a free version of it? i thought they didn't even
give out that much.

Blood Rose on 2001-07-08 13:44 [#00013167]

It is known that he uses a Roland TB-303
Roland TR-606, Roland TR-727, Roland TR-808, Roland TR-909,
Roland SH-101 and maybe a Korg MS20

gavistimo from the moon on 2001-07-08 16:16 [#00013180]

I got the free version of PRO TOOLS. I haven`t got a clue
how to use it though especially the MIDI shit. I think I
will stick to Cubase! If you want to download PRO TOOLs go
to www.protools.com
It`s a 10MB program

AFX from London on 2001-07-08 16:19 [#00013181]

I use an MC-303 and Recycle. I also use a toaster to make
some wicked sounds on my new album. It`s well lush.

sick on 2001-07-08 19:22 [#00013208]

pro tools....doubt anyone hear uses it. unless of course you
got about $10,000 laying around. free version is limited to
couple of audio tracks, and its set up so you don't need any
digi hardware. but all the big timers (nin, bt, bjork, etc)
use protools now. supposed to be the shit.

spektr from sweden on 2001-07-08 22:10 [#00013226]

Protools is good.... but... it pretty hard to master.... :/

Dave k from Canada on 2001-07-09 02:16 [#00013257]

I don't use pro tools or cubase i use acid x press but i use
the free version because im too damn cheap

Chimp Systems from Appy Ard Kor on 2001-07-09 12:36 [#00013335]

I read in Future Music that all he uses is a trombone, a
disrupted yodler and some digital watches that he got at the
garage. He is one smoooth operator lady.

AFX @ Thom Yorke: I don't think that anyone has noticed.

dirty little bitch on 2001-07-09 14:14 [#00013359]

a little bird (a kestral named ralph) told me that me makes
his own programs which he uses together with a G4 mac and a
load of synths and other shit which he also constructed with
his bare hands.

Blood Rose on 2001-07-09 17:43 [#00013460]

That making synths stuff is rubbish. If you look at one of
his so called 'creations' it is nothing more than a TB-303
with a custom box put around it. He does make his own
software but he has stopped because it was 'doing his head
in'. He might use some made up stuff but it would just be
shells from other keyboards and the memory from them all
blended into one. God bless you Aphex

my face on 2001-07-09 18:08 [#00013474]

Fact: For everything Aphex has ever done he has used the
same equipment, namely
A three-foot length of crochet scarf (blue)
A bucket
A small child.
Don't believe me? Well bollox.

I heard that he ties his beard-hairs to his pubes then gets
his uncle cyril to hold a microphone to it will hw plucks
away. He can change notes by nodding his head. To create the
beats he manipulates a sample of the queen`s arse-cheeks
slapping together when she went down the stairs at a royal
visit to Cornwall. Apparantly Rick was there with his trusty
old microphone and he prodded her in the arse to get this
unique sound. Hope that helps!

Wizard MaC from Amersfoort on 2001-10-02 09:42 [#00038344]

i think Richard uses
a Mac, ProTools, Korg MS20, TR808, selfmade Rephlex Sampler,
selfmade software, shareware from the net, his computer
keyboard

Richard J from at home on 2001-10-02 11:23 [#00038353]

HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA.

The one who created the twin on 2001-10-02 14:33 [#00038370]
