"You've got to be a good businessman" = Hyping your stuff, create a buzz, create a mystery, a legend etc etc etc (infact I love this sort of stuff). But sometimes its sad that talented "bleak" people doesnt get the props that thy are deserved just because they can get into the hype thang. |

I'm doing marketing in school, and I must say, that Britiny Spears sure is marketing herself well!!! I watched a bit of an Ego's and Icons on her the other day, and it was talking about some stuff like that... for instance, in one of her cds, when you open up the booklet (it's a big poster apparently) when you open it first what you see is a big picture of her crotch... then when you open up the poster further you see the full picture... hmmm, that's kind of off topic, but you were talking about image and all that... :) |

but, I don't think there is anything wrong with trying to market music... sell it dammit is what I say... as long as the marketing doesn't compromise the music I say anything else goes!!! Get the music to as many people as you can!! |
