Melodies From Mars is awesome, does anyone know where it
came from? I got a bunch of MP3's but if anyone knows where
to get better quality ones. If you could please send me
Logon Rock Witch (demo version) and track 10.

the quality is quite bad -- that's how they come -- they are
the music for an unreleased video game (or somesuch story)
-- and yes, they are awesome - i used to have them all, but
alas lost them and now, like little bo peep, i don't know
where to find them

I got em all. It seems most Discography list it as having
only 11 track thought it has 12 by my reckoning. The logon
rock witch demo was the hardest mp3 for me to find...

I still didn't manage to find them.

DAMMIT!!!

I found an ftp-server who has them, but you have to upload
stuff for ages before they allow you to d/l something.

*curse*

Thanks for the suggestion

...but soulseek is a problem for me.
I tried it a thousand times,but It doesn't work.
(it will probably be me who does something wrong, but I don't
know what.)

I feel so silly
I can't even use soulseek

:(

wrong, wrong, wrong...

MfM was *not* made for video game companies...that was just
a comment by somebody who thought the music sounded like
video game music (which it does not). MfM started off as a
set of C90 cassettes that Richard gave out to various WARP
and Rephlex bods and it eventually got into the wrong hands.
The MP3s are incomplete and edited, and the actual cassette
sounds near perfect, so those bad sounding MP3s are rips of
RealAudio or Window Media files from one of the aphex sites.

Mines sound really good except the logon rock witch demo.

it says on this site that Music from Mars was recorded as
the album to be released where The RDJ album was released...
but, as you know, it wasn't released and The RDJ album
was...

Yeah, track ten is just kind of cut off...

I LOVE Melodies from Mars, it's delightfully strange. I
don't like the production quality, but the tracks are really
cute! The fifth one is so damn cool.

hey joyrex, by your description of it it seems like you have
it - why not make better mp3's for the rest of us,
considering that it's never going to be released and that
the present mp3's are a false representation of RDJ's music?

offline Duble0Syx from Columbus, OH (United States) on 2002-05-12 05:06 [#00215986]

I doubt that will happen even if he does have it. Of course
if better mp3's suddenly show up without explaination we'll
know why...
