the piss out of it

man .. that tutfm-xanpha mix is some punchy shit! .. this is
cool - the stings .. i'm really impressed with both these
mixes, like, how much you've absorbed and added of your own
element into these mixes.

teapot, you kicked back from them ambient xuetre days with
quite a vengeance :) - lovely ..

*listens too it again himself*

maybe your right, and an ep would be a great idea... it
would be cool coz i decided that my first proper LP (which
ill write in the coming months) is actually gonna be called
Mutio.. i could release a single ep kinda dealy...

especially....

dunno from memory .. but there's a bit in one of the recent
computer music mag's - bout the whole white label.

the most expensive part would be the mastering at a studio -

then the hassle of sorting out a distributor etc.. but dunno
.. apparently, should be able to break even at worst? + the
added publicity !!

i reckon might be worth investigating :)

just to let you know...on the mutio remix.I didn't actually
add any parts of my own in here..the big drums..are teapots
own first drum loop..processed..tuned up exported then
imported and processed again..the synth in the begining is
actually his bass line once again heavily processed..all the
other beats are teapots I just rearranged a bit and even all
the string work is his I just reorganized and juxtaposed
into chords...yes as you can tell I am a big tweak
freek..and all the things I needed to export to my trial
version of soundforge for I can do it all in floops now..so
floop disbelievers..believe...
and take a bow teapot for all the great parts you gave me to
play with..

i had in mind producing 100 + cds with artwork... kinda
selling them to people who are interested and also sending
them too labels, i might not be ready for that but its worth
a shot... but the vinyl thing sounds tempting, vinyls look
good...

the more you print the cheaper it gets (ie. per copy) - that
kinda makes sense tho ..

here - dunno if thats the cheapest tho, the minimum is
prining 6 lps @ $120 nz dollars .. but it goes down
dramatically after that. i think all in all it be about
$1000 - $1500 nz (depending how many you want to release) ..
which is quite a bit .. but if you do it right, should
easily break even ..

oh .. cd's i think be much much cheaper ..

yeah .. i should try and get ahold of that article ..
distributor is what you want .. they do it for you (tho they
take some of the profit) , they make sure yer stuff ends up
in cd stores (and the right ones!) - they can get your vinyl
artwork etc. produced at a discount .. so its kinda worth it
?? dunno tho .. this is all theory, i haven't actually dun
it meself.

i'm off to do some school work now .. :)

keep up dem choonz
