Although it may be somewhat childish and I usually get bored
with these things two weeks after buying them, I have been
considering buying a GBA.
Has anyone got one who could enlighten me?
I'm a bit sceptical as it will cost 80 of my English pounds
and games are pricey at £34-99 each. I wouldn't want to
fork out all that money to be disappointed and not play it
after a few weeks........

hmm. Maybe a couple of years ago. Many people think they're
trendy to buy a playstation and just get any old games they
can think of, where as I bought one to get the games I was
interested in that other consoles didnt have *eg Street
Fighter, FF7*. You can buy really cheap, already chipped
playstations from ebay, with games, and it would still be
worth buying a Game Boy Advanced.

I'd see if you can get some of your mates to get one aswell
before buying one. Multiplayer is very re-warding. As for
the games; read about them, see whether you like the games.

I hope that helps? I own one!

I don't have a GBA yet but I can't wait to get one. Mario
Kart Advance will be so fun!! Tony Hawk 2, CastleVania and
Rayman have got good reviews. And it plays all the old GB
games :)

So I think you should get one. Though if your unsure maybe
you should wait till the price has gone down. Or see if you
can rent one and try it out for a couple of days.

Ah yes! The Atari 2600, the console that got me into gaming
:-) But damn did the pad hurt if you played for extended
periods of time.

Well, I thought "Fuck it", I had the money and went ahead
and bought one. I bought Super Mario Advance with it and it
does look impressive. Although I'm not sure yet whether in a
month's time I'll think "Why did I bother?" As this tends to
be the case with me.
