Mr. Flappypants, being that I made a topic trying to find
out the name of the font could you maybe open a word
processor and check the name of the font and let me know. I
would really appreciate it.

I think they usually pay an artist to make a font- the ones
you get will only be copies, not the originals...

they use something that looks like century gothic...i
usually just use that one, though i'm probably completely
off

I've seen the squarepusher one too; I just can't remember
what it was called. there's assloads of those pixellated
fonts out there though..!

Nick, I believe that both the Autechre and BoC fonts used
there are Chalet Light (or Extra Light), and Chalet medium
or heavy, respectively. It may not be the exact font, but
that's my best guess. The Squarepusher font could easily be
created from a scan - import a not-even-so-high-res scan
into Macromedia Flash 5, and "Trace Bitmap" to convert it to
vector. From the subsequent vector graphic, you can import
it into a program like Font Factory and create your own font
out of it, though you'll only have those characters. Or you
could just use the vector graphic itself, without even
bothering to make a new font. BTW, don't get creeped out,
this is David Z. You could even just mimic (trace) the SP
font in illustrator and do it that way, would be fairly
easy.
