If RDJ finally did the soundtrack to a video game, which series would you want him to work on?
I think Metroid... it has that creepy alien atmosphere, and something like SAW2 would be great for it... some scary ominous ambient by RDJ. Listen to the Super Metroid soundtrack for SNES, it is too damn awesome... some of the best music I've ever heard, period. Scaaaarrryyy...

RDj's stuff is too cheesy for real videogames...i listen to RDJ abulm while playing mario...but other than that...i really don't see his music suitable for any soundtrack to any vgame, or series.

Too... CHEESY? Actually, that's how I see videogame music, as too cheesy... even the good stuff. Modern games have that awful metal guitar all over the place, yech... Usually too over the top or something, too much so to be released outside the context of the game.
RDJ isn't cheesy... :-/

sorry...but that's the way i feel...but it's not really all RDJ stuff...mostly his drill N' Bass stuff, (SAW2 can work in some areas), and yes, there are some vgames that are even worse...AE would make a good soundtrack to a puzzle game...maybe even other games as well...but i don't think that RDJ would be too great...

Autechre in a puzzle game... ha, I like it!
Actually, I think Melodies from Mars would go well in an Earthbound game... that was one of the best and most underrated SNES games ever. Goofy soundtrack, I think of it everytime I listen to Melodies from Mars.

I think ol' Aphex has lots of tracks that would work well in videogames! I always turn the videogame music off and listen on my stereo. I Care Because You Do is the ultimate Mario Kart music!

Yeah, FPS would be do-able. Especially TimeSplitters, they have some messed up sounds in that game.

Has anyone played that new skidoo racing game on the PS2? The music on the evil carnival track to that is brilliant and I like the way the music distorts in Streetfighter X3 when Skullomania comes on.
I think RDJs more cheesy stuff would be good for things like puzzle bobble and the nuts stuff from Drukqs would good for fast racing games (F-Zero, Extreme G). I'd also like him to do some SAW 1 style stuff for a sequel to Rez.
