I was kind of being confrontational, just to see what people said . . . I do pretty much mean it though. If kids were given proper drug education in schools, like they recieve sex education, then people fucking up on drugs thru naiivety wouldn't happen nearly as much. But I guess thats a long way off . . . People would rather cross their fingers and hope that their kids never get into drugs than give them the info they need to survive them when they do. I am, however, totally against fags. Even though I smoke. They are crap, aren't they? |

Re: Chimp's comments Yeah, "making your own synthesizers" is pretty damn hard, so I've always believed that comment to be rubbish. I know, I (attempted) to build one in high school. Well, I guess it was a success, because I got the oscillater to work off the keyboard (a matter of differing resistance values, along with some capacitors), it just sounded like shit. No predictability whatsoever. Audio signal generating test gear was always the best. I ended up stealing a couple of them from my Electronics classes and hiding them in my bedroom. Some boys hid Playboys in their rooms. I hid audio generators and old tape decks with those variable speed knobs. Go figure. |

Re: Dingleberry's question about "what does one need to make synths?": A strong background in electronics. I studied electronics all through my teen years, and then was formally trained in EE in the military. Or, just get some cheap old analogue organ or synth, and start tweaking with it. I (cautiously) mess with my Moog all the time, its rather simple, and not hard to mess up. |
