how disappointing. found it for 8 bucks in a bargain bin
and thought "cylob is a respectable guy". this one will be
the least played album i have next to selected ambient works
2. actually its a toss up. selected a was better than it
though by far.

Yes, i bought it 3 months ago (or something), and i've only
listened through the whole album once. 12 £ down the
drain.

SAW II on the other hand.....

I like most of cylobs work. But moodbells is horrible, don't
waste your money on it.

its just different to what youd expect, its certainly not
horrible - different tunes for different moods (no punning
intended)

it's very beautifully recorded trscks with bells and a
little reverb and echo - simple but very hard to do well -
very beautiful - not horribble for christsakes

why not buy some tibetan meditation music in the stead? or
some buddhist chanting?

i like mood bells. it's not the same as tibetan music.
both make use of bells, but moodbells does not have the same
effect. they are simply different.

I'm not normally one to say 'I told you so', but people were
getting pissed off at me when I said mood bells sounded like
it was going to suck. Lo and behold, it comes out, and it is
one of the worst 'IDM' albums I have ever heard. Its worst
than most bad mp3.com artists.

The last thing we need is another ambient whack-off album
out there... bullox!

I was going to download this album, but now I don't think
I'll bother, sounds like garbage... is it just... bells? An
ambient album with bells?

And he didn't even bother to do much work with effects,
rarely layered two bell sounds over eachother... It was a
lazy attempt at art.

mood bells isn't idm - please have some imagionation to
remove this tag - your perameters are very conservative -
it's not tibetan bells either - you haven't been listening
very closley to it either that or you lack the
sophistication to enjoy it cos it doesn't fit into a cosy
niche

Personally I feel that mood bells lacks the sophistication
to be enjoyable. But its all relative, right?
