GeForce 4 4600ti is pretty sweet, nVidia takes years to
release new drivers though

we gots:
P4 2.0ghz
512mb RDRAM
GeForce 4 4600ti
40GB 7200rpm (drool @ 15000rpm)

i fly planes

im making a new computer as well, I still havent decided on
a P4 2Ghz or an Athlon XP2100, I think im going ot get the
athlon though as in real world tests from Toms Hardware
Site, it can outperform even the P4 2.6 Ghz that isnt even
released ot the public yet. Also the athlon has much higher
FPU than the P4 so it can run mroe audio plugins, though the
P4 is supposedly better for games.

.....but not for actual computing...

...they are so under-powered and over-priced

the most they come w/ is 16mb video... u cant run any games
on it

...and c'mon now.. what ELSE could u possibly want a
comptuer for?!?!
(i mean, other than games?!?!)

AMD is better ! A P4 isnt compatible with DDR Ram onl ySD
ram, which makes its 30-40 % Slower than an AMD processor
that supports DDR RAM !!

actually...... pentium motherboards now support DDR ram.....
(my firend just got one)

.....and they also support RD ram... whichis even faster
than DDR... (but is also much more expensive... and not fast
enough to make it worth it)

anyways, u ARE right though, about SD ram slowing down
p4s......
most p4s come w/ SD ram motherboards...... and that makes a
serious performance bottleneck for the computer

youve got a point, but i dont play games at all. on the
other hand, each the couple of times i wanted to install a
game, i couldnt play it because i only got 8mb video...

but it's a HELL of a lot more practical. i bring it
everywhere (which means ive got music and movies
everywhere).
