new autechre cd

wizards teeth from under a rabbit's thigh on 2001-03-13 14:24 [#00000998]

I bought the new autechre cd (jp sessions 2) I believe it to
be quite mint.

I am excited as I have just booked two flights to spain, me
and my friend are going to get wrecked in the mountains. Do
bears or wolves exist in the mountains of Spain ? I hope so,
I think I might challenge a bear to a fight whence pissed.

Does anyone know of any good nights out in Malaga in Spain
?

I don't know what music people listen to there, I hope I do
not have to dance to flamenco music.

Autechre are playing live in newcastle in april, has anyone
seen them live as, if so are they any good ?

I saw Autechre in Manchester last year. They weren't much to
look at, they just sat behind their powerbooks and nord
leads, refusing to acknowledge the audience. The music,
however, was incredible - the loudest gig I've ever
experienced, and a continuous flow of their hardest sounds,
without any tracks I recognised.

I admonished John Peel for suggesting the name Gaekwad for
my band, when it's a track on Autechre Peel Sessions 2, but
he didn't read out that part of the e-mail.

How's the remix coming, Teeth?

i've heard bits and clips of autechres various cds and all
of their radio cd, but i'm wondering which cd of theirs
would be a good first buy. i also will get some squarepusher
and i'm pretty sure of which one to get, but do you guys
have suggestions for some of his other stuff? has anyone
listened to his little brothers stuff? i'd like to hear a
little on that.

HEVVVVVVVV- areyou serious????you have no autechre??
autechre.nu now!!!
i grabbed a cd single about 4 years ago, and within the last
yeart or so have gotten itto them heavily.....they are a bit
more on the CONTROLLED side than aphex twin is....richard d.
james getts wacky and crazy....ae gets hard and smooth, not
so wild, so just for the heck of it go pick up their most
recent relesase, itss called PEEL SESSIONS 2. IT HAS 3 OR 4
TRACKS(MINE IS AT WORK) AND SHOULD RUN YOUABOUT $6.00 OR SO.
THEN when you like it. buy all the ae stuff ya can. see ya @
AUTECHRE.NU............LATER BUDDY

I was really late to Autechre, i have liked them for awhile,
but it wasnt until about a month or so ago i picked up Tri
repetae++ needless to say, after listening to it once, i was
blown away and shocked i had waited this long. The bjork
album has been pushed back to August, and i was putting away
money for that, but maybe i'll just buy the new autechre
album, or amber or anything old? any suggestions?

Ross:
LP5, Amber or Incunabula are pretty easy to begin
with...Anvil Vapre is amazing but too few tracks. EP7 is
more complex but extraordinary if you give it a few shots.

Also, if you're into more "melodic/techno/dance" tracks,
check out the Gescom releases (Gesom is the alter ego for Ae
with friends), especially Key Nell [SKA007] and The Sounds
Of Machines Our Parents Used [CLR408].

Check out TOP 10 ALBUMS to find out what other thinks...
