How to snare rush

This question has plagued my mind ever sinced i first
listened to the enigma known as RDJ, how the hell does he
snare rush?

hi there,

for snare rush you mean that "mad sample triggering" you can
hear everywhere in the RDJ album... well if u have a sampler
(hardware or software) u can obtain nice results by looping
the very beginning of a kick or snare sample. You have to
set the loop points pretty near eachother. of course there's
more, you could not use a sampler but try to slice the wave
file directly in the favourite audio sequencer and the apply
crazy volume & pan envelopes (never tried tho!).

Rephlex, you r here all the time. Anf U seem to know quite a
lot, have you got a site with your music on it?

|REFLEX| from Western Canada on 2001-07-04 22:17 [#00012321]

Sceary Bear: Yes and No. I have a good website with many
many things on it worth checking out Right Here But I do
not have any of my music on it. Im starting to get into
making my own tracks soon enough. I have made some before
but was never satisfied with them. I will let everyone here
know when I do make some cool songs.

But.. I do have some songs of other people on my site that
want me to have their songs their for people to showcase.
Check them out.

reflex is right - it ain't too hard. its all about
triggering samples at fast speeds - anywhere from 480 to
640 BPM on a drum machine works quite nicely. and fiddle
with the volume, pan, pitch, shift etc. otherwise its just
plain bland
